Role overview
This entry-level Associate Rotational Engineer role supports a multi-year Operations Engineering Rotational Program for a Confidential Client in the Engineering industry. The program offers 6–12 month rotations through core manufacturing engineering areas (floor manufacturing, quality, production supervision, maintenance supervision, factory controls, product engineering, and core manufacturing engineering), hands-on project work, mentoring, and placement into a manufacturing engineering function after successful completion.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in development and improvement of manufacturing systems focused on quality and throughput.
- Support design, modification, and validation of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Study product requirements and test manufacturing methods and equipment.
- Contribute to process capability analysis and testing to assure product and process quality.
- Provide technical support for plant operations and maintenance teams.
- Occasionally train and assign work to small groups of employees.
- Participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a regular on-site presence; physical attendance is an essential function.
What We’re Looking For
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related engineering field.
- 0 years professional experience required; at least one summer or semester engineering internship preferred.
- Strong analytical ability to solve complex problems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of tooling, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing equipment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Unigraphics (NX) or other CAD packages.
- Familiarity with gear/spline manufacturing, gear geometry, or analytical gear evaluation.
- Experience with grinding, turning, and machining center processes.
- CNC programming knowledge and familiarity with machine control systems.
- Project experience related to machine procurement, cost analysis, or process validation.
- Direct manufacturing experience with rotating/reciprocating components, gears, or prismatic parts.

- Rotation-specific SMART goals and objectives to guide learning and measure impact.
- Regular feedback from rotation managers and mentorship to develop technical and leadership skills.
- Placement into a manufacturing engineering department aligned to your strengths and organizational needs after program completion.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated annual pay (source data): $78,915 per year (estimated).
