What You’ll Do

This full-time, in-seat role supports the Motor Vehicle & Driver License Division by turning operational data into clear, actionable insights for leaders and stakeholders. Core responsibilities include:

  • Assist with data analytics initiatives and provide project support across the Division.
  • Maintain reporting applications and manage access for Division staff.
  • Develop, update, and maintain Tableau dashboards and visualizations.
  • Collect, clean, validate, and analyze Division data using Excel and Tableau.
  • Create summaries and visual reports that highlight trends and actionable recommendations.
  • Integrate key performance measures into dashboards and continuously improve workflows.
  • Identify process efficiencies by leveraging data insights to bridge analytics and operations.
  • Prepare clear, well-structured reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members to document and improve business processes.
  • Work independently with initiative, curiosity, and ownership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred/required per position classification).
  • 1–3 years hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep and/or relevant certification.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced calculations and data preparation techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to transform raw data into actionable insights.
  • Highly organized with a methodical approach to problem-solving and project management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Proactive, motivated, and able to work independently for extended periods.

Logistics & Compensation

  • Location: Truman Building — 301 West High Street, Jefferson City, MO (this position is in-seat 5 days a week; remote work is not available).
  • Employment type: Full-time.
  • Annual salary range: $46,446.48 to $55,000.
  • Benefits: The confidential client offers a comprehensive benefits package including retirement/pension plan eligibility, health insurance options, and generous leave and holiday time.
