What You’ll Do

The Associate - Public Improvement will provide entry-level administrative and analytical support to the construction oversight team at a Confidential Client in the Trade & Construction industry. This role supports invoicing, payments, contractor oversight data analysis, and assists Construction Managers, Project Specialists, Senior Specialists, and Chief Construction Inspectors. The position includes regular field engagement to learn operational practices and perform Job Site Safety Evaluations.

• Estimated pay: $66,002 per year (estimated)

Core Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for invoicing, payments, data entry, and accrual tracking.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to support contractor oversight and payment administration.
• Participate in at least two field visits per month with experienced construction inspectors or specialists to gain operational knowledge.
• Conduct Job Site Safety Evaluations (JSSEs) during field visits and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Share operational and safety learnings with the Construction Manager and Project Specialist after six months in role.
• Temporarily cover CCI (Construction Construction Inspector) duties when assigned by the Construction Manager.
• Attend monthly progress meetings to review responsibilities and performance against expectations.
• Promote and help enforce safety, health, and environmental programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field AND one year of full-time related experience — OR six months of relevant co-op or internship experience with the Confidential Client.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Driver’s license required.

Physical Demands & Additional Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while using a phone or computer.
• Ability to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, and operate office equipment.
• Assigned a System Emergency Assignment — must be available for non-business hours during emergencies (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Must be willing and able to travel within the company service territory, including occasional overnight travel.
