What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is hiring an Associate - Public Improvement to provide entry-level operational and administrative support to the Construction / Public Improvement team. This role supports contractor oversight, payment administration, field safety observations, and data analysis that help the team deliver safe, compliant work across the service territory.
- Support analysis of data from multiple sources related to contractor oversight, invoicing, payments, and accruals
- Provide administrative support to Construction Managers, Project Specialists, Senior Specialists, and Chief Construction Inspectors
- Participate in at least two field visits per month with an experienced CCI or Senior Specialist to learn operations and complete Job Site Safety Evaluations (JSSEs)
- Document field observations and safety learnings and share findings with the team
- Assist with process improvement efforts to streamline invoicing and data workflows
- Temporarily fill in for CCI duties when assigned and appropriate
- Attend monthly progress reviews with Construction Manager and Project Specialist to track objectives and development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field AND one year of full-time related experience — OR six months of internship / co-op experience with the Confidential Client
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the service territory; some overnight travel may be required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to represent the Confidential Client with external constituents
- Well organized, detail oriented, flexible, and able to manage multiple assignments
- Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making
- Willingness to be assigned a System Emergency Assignment and work non-business hours during emergencies (nights, weekends, holidays)
Physical Demands & Work Conditions
- Sit or stand at a workstation and answer phones for extended periods
- Repetitive keyboard/mouse use for the duration of the workday
- Ability to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, and read small print and symbols
- Field visits may include outdoor work and jobsite conditions
- Must be able and willing to travel within the Confidential Client’s service area
Compensation
- Estimated pay: $112,666 per year (estimated)
