About the role

Confidential Client (Engineering) is hiring an Associate Project Manager to support building-automation systems (BAS) projects in Highland Park, TX. This is an entry-level project management role working closely with Project Managers, Field Supervisors, and operations teams to help deliver projects on time, on budget, and with high customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects by following established project processes and coordinating the project team
  • Deliver work per contractual requirements, ensuring projects finish on time and within budget
  • Assist with financial tracking for projects, including planning, billing, revenue forecasting, A/R collections, and re-estimating installation costs
  • Manage scope delivery and support the change-order process when scope changes occur
  • Coordinate project materials and shared resources; identify resource constraints and support corrective actions
  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors; identify issues and assist with resolution plans
  • Support site visits, status reporting, and communication with stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in project management within the building automation / controls industry
  • Able to climb ladders or use lift equipment above 8 feet and lift up to 20 lbs
  • Insurable to drive company or personal vehicles for business purposes
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree, or technical/business certificate in HVAC, controls, or related technical field
  • Hands-on experience with building automation systems and controls
  • Familiarity with building automation software (for example, WebCTRL) and installation of controls
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networks and wireless technologies
  • Ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and strong teamwork skills

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $53,000.00 - $106,000.00. Actual pay depends on skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. The pay will not be less than the minimum wage required by the jurisdiction where the employee is employed.


Other Compensation

This position may be eligible for short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
