Role overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Associate Project Engineer to join its operations serving West Indianapolis, IN. This role is a hands-on launching pad into construction project management and estimating, delivering practical experience in site coordination, quality control, and material management while you grow toward future leadership roles.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct and lead site safety meetings and enforce safety-sensitive procedures.
- Create, manage, and close punch lists to ensure project completion standards.
- Support Quality Assurance / Quality Control measures per the client’s QA/QC program.
- Prepare RFIs and submittals and track responses.
- Manage labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance.
- Perform quantitative takeoffs to support accurate material ordering.
- Support schedule implementation and monitor progress against milestones.
- Coordinate warranties and O&M documentation.
- Assist with material coordination tied to purchase orders and invoicing.
Compensation & Employment Type
- Salary range: $72,600–$77,600 annually, plus a non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.
- Employment type: Full-time.
- This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective team collaboration and customer-service orientation.
- Critical-thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA certifications.
- Prior construction experience.
- Willingness to travel or relocate based on project needs.
