Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Associate Engineer, Program/Project Management to join their Engineering organization in Richardson, TX. This is a full-time, entry-level role focused on supporting program planning, PMO activities, and sustaining-phase product changes. Estimated compensation shown on the original posting: $102,808 per year (estimated).

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate PMO activities related to quoting schedules and design costs for customer RFQs.
• Support the CX-Sustaining team in handling internal Change Requests for products in mass production.
• Help streamline and automate weekly and monthly PMO reporting.
• Assist PMO staff in managing one or more low-complexity projects; facilitate cross-functional global core team meetings and program kickoffs.
• Communicate status to functional management and, when required, to customers.
• Implement product lifecycle changes as directed and assist in maintaining program documentation (Program Plan/WBS, Phase Exit presentations, checklists).
• Monitor day-to-day program progress and help drive program objectives (cost, quality, schedule, features, fulfillment/continuity of supply).
• Assist with program budgeting and forecasting — track actuals against planned/quoted budgets.
• Identify, track and help resolve program risks and issues; coordinate interdependent projects and resource allocation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Entry-level to 1 year relevant experience in engineering or program/project support.
• Familiarity with project planning and basic program management practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present status updates and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with common office tools (spreadsheets, presentation software) and willingness to learn PM tools used by the team.

Preferred / Technical Competencies

• Exposure to PM methodologies (Agile, PMP concepts) and experience or coursework in project planning, risk management, or PM tools.
• Understanding of proposals/quoting, contract management basics and vendor selection/support.
• Knowledge or interest in manufacturing/test development, automation, or VAVE-style continuous improvement is a plus.
• Experience or training in quality tools (D/PFMEA, 8D/corrective actions, DOE) is advantageous.
