Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Associate Program Finance Analyst to join their Program Finance team in Tysons Corner, VA. This early-career position is part of a cohort-style training program designed for candidates with up to three years of experience who want to build a career in program-level financial management, contract compliance, and project financial analysis.

What You’ll Do

• Produce contractual deliverable reports (CDRLs) and prepare invoices to government customers, ensuring accuracy and on-time submission.
• Reconcile bi-weekly invoices with the Billing team and verify invoice backup and receipts.
• Support full lifecycle financial management for direct work programs: budgeting, resource management, execution, collections, and contract closeout.
• Assist with pricing and estimating for new work and potential change orders.
• Maintain financial controls and ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, and internal finance policies.
• Work with Project Leaders and Contracts to meet contractual financial requirements.
• Coordinate across functional teams (Accounts Receivable/Treasury, PMOs, Enterprise Business Systems) to keep AR timely and improve reporting tools.
• Prepare analytics and reports to support leadership decision-making, monthly/quarterly/annual close, and exception-based metrics.
• Participate in business transformation and process reengineering efforts, including requirements analysis and tool testing.
• Provide proactive, high-quality support to Project Leaders and Department Managers.

What We're Looking For

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically less than 1 year of related experience (entry-level / early career).
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, core functions).
• Strong attention to detail and a resourceful, self-starting approach.
• Clear communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Able to work a minimum of 4 days per week onsite in Tysons Corner, VA.

Preferred qualifications

• Academic excellence and demonstrated quantitative interest/competence.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) a plus.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (Secret) — if a clearance will be required for specific assignments, U.S. citizenship may be required.

Compensation & Location

• Salary range (annual): $59,600 — $89,400 (midpoint: $74,500). This range is provided by the employer and applies to this Tysons Corner, VA role.
• Employment type: Full-time.
• Work location: Onsite (minimum 4 days/week) — Tysons Corner, Virginia, US.
