What You’ll Do

  • Set up and maintain cost control systems and monitor costs and schedules for contracts requiring validated cost/schedule control.
  • Perform cost and schedule analyses and prepare reports to ensure contracts stay within negotiated parameters and government cost-control guidelines.
  • Prepare budgets, schedules, funding profiles, sales outlooks and variance analyses.
  • Develop program plans to capture requirements and statement-of-work tasks, and maintain realistic cost and schedule baselines.
  • Conduct schedule risk assessments and support mitigation planning for cost and schedule risks.
  • Track expenditures, prepare expenditure projections and submit timely funding requests to the government to ensure adequate funding availability.
  • Incorporate contractual changes into control systems and track outstanding work on contracts.
  • Process subcontractor invoices using PLSC2.
  • Support earned value management (EVM) contracts by preparing reports and summaries for program and technical teams.

Who You Are

Basic qualifications — you must meet ALL items below:

  • Completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD from an accredited institution.
  • Major or concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management, or a closely related field.
  • 0–2 years of related experience (entry-level).
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (required).
  • Ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearances within a reasonable timeframe as determined by the confidential client.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
  • Experience with SAP and Cobra (earned value tool) or other EVM tools.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $63,000 to $94,600 (base). Final offer depends on role, experience, education, skills and market conditions.
  • Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus and other incentive awards depending on role.
  • Typical benefits may include health insurance, life and disability coverage, retirement/savings plans, paid holidays and paid time off — specifics provided by the confidential client during hiring.

Location & Travel

  • Work location: Boulder, CO (on-site at the confidential client’s Space sector).
  • Travel: approximately 10% of the time.
