Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Associate Product Manager to support the Residential product marketing team within a high-SKU, technically detailed product environment. This is a hybrid, full-time role based in Syracuse, NY (with potential placement in Charlotte, NC as noted by the client). You will support product launches, SKU rationalization, sales and channel enablement, and portfolio analytics while developing core product management skills and owning several product lines.


What You’ll Do

  • Support product management activities including product launches, market research, sales team engagement, and channel growth initiatives
  • Conduct SKU analysis and lead SKU rationalization efforts to optimize portfolio performance
  • Develop and maintain revenue, margin, and volume analytics to inform product decisions and business reviews
  • Research and evaluate new product ideas, minor feature enhancements, and market trends using customer and channel inputs
  • Support product line maintenance and profitability improvements, identifying cost, sourcing, or design optimization opportunities
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Industrial Design, Sales, and Operations to gather inputs and support execution
  • Manage several product lines within the first months of the role, focusing on maintaining offers and improving efficiency or profitability
  • Lead collateral development (sell sheets, cutsheets, launch materials, videos) and support promotional campaigns and trade/customer events
  • Perform other related duties to support product portfolio and commercial objectives

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related technical field of study
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate clearly across all levels of the organization
  • Solid project management skills: develop/manage project plans, set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis techniques
  • Proficient with standard office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); able to prepare clear presentations and sales materials
  • Highly collaborative; able to work with multiple internal functions and external channel partners
  • Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem solving

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Relevant experience in sales, marketing, or product support roles; experience with electrical products or regulated product environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com is advantageous
  • Experience in high-SKU or technically complex product environments
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to balance competing priorities
  • Self-motivated and energetic with a bias for action
