Associate Product Manager
The Associate Product Manager at Confidential Client manages and automates product operations workflows, focusing on pre-sale activities such as audience targeting, inventory management, and RFP coordination. This role combines hands-on AI-driven automation with learning and contributing to product management, providing exposure to healthcare media products and the opportunity to grow into full product ownership.
About Careertakes
👉 Important disclosure: Careertakes is a third-party recruiting platform supporting this hiring process. If selected, you will be employed directly by our client, Advertising Services.
Applicants for this role may also receive access to additional matched opportunities through the Careertakes platform.
What You’ll Do
You will run and improve the product-operations work that supports proposals, inventory, and RFPs — then automate it using AI so the team can scale. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Produce, manage, and quality-check HCP and consumer audience counts and targeting estimates across virtual care media and EHR-triggered messaging to meet turnaround and accuracy standards.
- Manage and respond to inventory requests from Sales using inventory management tools.
- Coordinate intake, track open items, and keep RFPs moving through the workflow during peak season.
- Provide product and technical specification support to Sales for RFPs and proposals.
- Map current counts, inventory, and RFP workflows step-by-step; identify sources of rework, delay, and error.
- Design, build, and maintain AI-assisted workflows, automations, and agents that take on repeatable steps and connect AI tools to our data and inventory systems where appropriate.
- Measure the impact of each automation on turnaround time and accuracy, and report clearly on lessons learned.
- Document every workflow, prompt, and rule so colleagues and successors can review, operate, and improve them.
- Learn each product inside out (capabilities, client value, common questions) and translate recurring RFP requests into written input the product team can prioritize.
- Partner closely with the VP of Product, Sales, and Ad Operations, and progressively take on product-management tasks as you are ready.
Qualifications
- Hands-on AI experience — you use AI tools regularly for real work and can describe specific tasks, failure modes, and how you validated results. This is required.
- Desire and ability to build automations and workflows (no-code and light scripting as needed).
- Genuine interest in product management as a career; curiosity about how products work, sell, and are positioned.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent hands-on experience accepted.
- Early-career level: approximately 1–3 years of professional experience.
- Strong structured thinking — able to break messy processes into repeatable steps and describe them clearly for people and machines.
- High attention to detail and comfort owning the accuracy of deliverables end-to-end.
- Highly organized — able to manage multiple concurrent requests and tight deadlines without being chased.
- Comfortable working in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Clear, concise written communication.
- Growth mindset — wants to improve week over week and comfortable working while processes are still being defined.
Nice to Have
- Project management or product-operations experience.
- Experience building with AI beyond chat: automations, custom workflows, agents, light scripting, or integrations.
- Proven record of turning manual work into clean, repeatable processes.
- Familiarity with healthcare, pharma, or advertising operations terms (ICD-10 coding, NPI targeting, audience estimation, ad serving).
Where This Role Can Grow
This role is a gateway into product management. As you automate manual parts of counts, inventory, and RFP support, your work will shift from running numbers to shaping the products behind them. You will build documented systems you designed and measured and develop working knowledge of each product and how it is sold — the foundation for full product ownership for someone who demonstrates readiness.
Why Join the Confidential Client
You will help build product operations at a company doing something new for pharma media and virtual care: reaching patients and clinicians at the moment care decisions are being made. You’ll get exposure across the full product suite and pre-sales process, contribute materially to proposals that win business, and learn from senior leaders who want to see you grow. AI is already part of the team’s workflow — you’ll have tools and time to build with them.
