Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Associate Product Manager to rapidly prototype and validate new AI Sensing features for smart-home and security applications. This hands-on role combines lightweight engineering, user research, and hardware testing to turn early ideas into decision-ready prototypes that guide product priorities and commercialization.

What You’ll Do

• Prototype to pressure-test ideas with quick clickable mockups and lightweight visuals.
• Build functional iterations of mobile and web features and ship code using AI-assisted coding tools.
• Recruit testers, run interviews and focus groups, and collect qualitative feedback to validate hypotheses.
• Deploy and test sensing hardware in real homes (including your own) to observe performance in real-world conditions.
• Synthesize transcripts, survey results, and test artifacts into concise, decision-ready reports and recommendations.
• Work closely with product and marketing to move validated use cases toward commercialization.

About You

• Technical foundation: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.
• A builder: Comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools to produce working prototypes or lightweight web apps end-to-end.
• Empathetic researcher: Enjoy talking to users, running interviews, and extracting signal from unstructured qualitative data.
• Hardware-hands-on: Willing to host and test hardware in your home (e.g., routers, security devices, sensors).
• Clear communicator: Able to distill notes and mixed data into a one-page recommendation.
• Fast and self-directed: Comfortable with ambiguity, evolving priorities, and hypothesis-driven work.

Preferred

• Internship or project experience in product prototyping and user research.
• Interest in IoT, smart home, health tech, and RF/wireless sensing.
• Strong product design sense that makes prototypes feel real enough for honest testing.
• Familiarity with React / Next.js for web and rapid-prototyping tools such as Claude Code and Claude Design.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $85,000 — $97,000 per year (USD).
