Role Overview
Confidential Client (Financial Services) is hiring an Associate Product Manager (APM) to own clearly defined product problems end-to-end, work closely with Engineering, Design, and Operations, and build strong product judgment through hands-on experience. This is an early-career, full-time position with mentorship and growth opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Own clearly scoped product problems or outcome areas within a product or workflow.
- Conduct customer and internal user interviews to surface workflows, pain points, and unmet needs.
- Turn insights into problem statements, hypotheses, and measurable success metrics.
- Validate problems using data, research, and feedback before proposing solutions.
- Define solutions with Design and Engineering, balancing customer value, feasibility, and impact.
- Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria that capture intent.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
- Make day-to-day product decisions for your area of ownership.
- Define and track success metrics; analyze adoption, usage patterns, and workflow impact.
- Communicate priorities, tradeoffs, and results to stakeholders and product leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to break down complex problems into manageable pieces.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
- Curiosity, coachability, and a strong desire to learn product best practices.
- Proficiency in English for job-related communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Jira or Pendo.
- Background in business analysis.
- Prior exposure to Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management is a plus.
Work Environment & Logistics
- This role is remote. A quiet, private workspace free of significant distractions is required during work hours.
- A reliable internet connection is required for remote work.
- Confidential Client will provide necessary equipment (computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset) as needed.
- Occasional travel may be required to attend company meetings.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent and prolonged periods of sitting while working on a computer.
- Frequent speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Frequent use of hands for typing and operating a mouse.
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $75,000 annually. Final compensation is based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and business needs.
- Eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus plan.
