About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring an Associate Product Applications Engineer. This entry-level role supports customers integrating semiconductor and electronics products into system designs by developing application tools, reference hardware, documentation, and by providing technical guidance. The role offers mentorship, hands-on lab work, and cross-functional exposure to engineering, product, and commercial teams. The role supports remote work (telecommute) with a primary location of Wilmington, MA and requires travel ~10%.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain user-facing application tools, reference boards, and example software to help customers integrate products.
  • Provide technical support and design guidance to customers during their evaluation and development cycles.
  • Build a foundational system-level understanding to advise on component selection and architecture tradeoffs.
  • Participate in product validation and road-testing to verify specifications and operational boundary conditions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, marketing, and sales to accelerate product introduction.
  • Support competitive analysis and prepare evaluation-kit comparisons and technical notes.
  • Produce clear, accurate technical documentation, application notes, and example code.
  • Assist with qualification and verification testing as needed.

Must-Have Skills

  • System-level design fundamentals and an eagerness to learn how components interact in larger systems.
  • Practical experience or coursework creating application tools, reference boards, or demonstration code.
  • Strong analytical and methodical problem-solving skills.
  • Clear technical communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Basic laboratory skills and familiarity with test equipment and measurement techniques.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and adapting to different team priorities.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or project work in applications engineering are a plus).

  • Employment type: Full-time (Contractor options may be considered).
  • Work model: Telecommute (remote option) with the primary job location listed as Wilmington, MA.
  • Required travel: Approximately 10%.
  • Salary range (expected new-hire range): $68,390 — $94,055 per year. Actual offer may vary based on location, experience, education, and other lawful factors.
  • Benefits: Medical, vision, dental, 401(k), paid vacation, holidays, sick time, and other standard benefits. This role may qualify for a discretionary performance-based bonus.
