What You’ll Do
- Provide exceptional client service by managing assigned tasks independently and contributing collaboratively to team engagements.
- Analyze, interpret and execute technical instructions presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form to meet client objectives.
- Review and interpret technical documentation (procedures, specifications, drawings, policies, regulations and guidebooks) to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Perform research, testing, modeling and engineering analysis under the direction of a project manager.
- Assess safety, health and environmental risks from chemical compositions, materials, processes and engineering designs and prepare work products to manage those risks.
- Consolidate complex information into clear reports, presentations and spreadsheets to support client decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with managers, coworkers and clients at all levels.
- Develop practical, creative solutions in dynamic environments with limited standardization.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or higher in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or a related science/engineering field.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; able to demonstrate through interviews and writing samples.
- Comfortable working in-office primarily, with some hybrid/remote flexibility where applicable.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% depending on client needs.
- Early-career candidates encouraged — winter 2026 and spring 2027 graduates welcome.
- A passion for continuous learning, exceeding client expectations and contributing to safer operations and designs.
Preferred / Helpful Experience
- Experience or coursework related to process safety, hazard assessment, engineering analysis, or technical reporting.
- Familiarity with interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and regulatory guidance.
- Interest in pursuing professional licensure (PE) — the client supports engineers seeking licensure.
Compensation & Benefits
- National pay range: $60,000—$100,000 USD (good-faith estimate; final compensation depends on experience, location, and other factors).
- Market estimate shown on source listing: approximately $84,379/year (estimated).

Location & Work Arrangement
- Authoritative location: Simpsonville, MD (this listing is for Simpsonville, Maryland).
- This is primarily an in-office role with some hybrid/remote work possible; the client may consider candidates in other Mid‑Atlantic offices.
- Travel: up to 30% depending on client/project needs.
