About the Role

Confidential Client (IT) is hiring an entry-level Quality Associate focused on operations quality and process documentation in Richardson, TX. This role supports quality system documentation, internal audits, and ISO-aligned change control. The position is hands-on with documentation control, audit support and continuous improvement activities — a strong opportunity for candidates building a career in quality systems within the IT / technology sector.


What You’ll Do

  • Create, publish, control and continuously improve process documentation (policies, procedures, work instructions).
  • Maintain standard templates and ensure consistent documentation practices across teams.
  • Store and manage controlled documents in document control systems and internal databases.
  • Maintain links between Quality Manual and referenced 2nd-level documents.
  • Develop and follow change-management processes that align with ISO standards; lead annual document reviews and revisions.
  • Notify stakeholders when documents are released and provide controlled copies as required.
  • Guide and support ISO and other auditors through documentation evidence and process explanations.
  • Act as a lead or participant in internal quality system audits (process, product, system, supplier).
  • Plan, perform, and report audit results; follow up on corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Review standards and controls for correctness and effectiveness; recommend improvements.
  • Provide training and consultation on quality methods (SPC, workmanship, PCA), audit expectations and documentation practices.
  • Support interactions with customers, government or external auditors as needed.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of relevant quality, manufacturing, or documentation experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of documentation control and quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and internal audit processes.
  • Basic programming or scripting skills are a plus (for data extraction, reporting, or automation).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment when implementing changes that affect processes or costs.

Skills & Tools

  • Working knowledge of engineering and supply chain systems (examples: SQL, TMDB, COBRA, BPCS, PDM).
  • Experience with document control systems and standard office applications (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes).
  • Familiarity with documentation tools (FrameMaker, Visio) and UNIX-based environments (HP-UX) is advantageous.
  • Basic programming/scripting (Python, SQL or similar) preferred but not required.
  • Audit skills, corrective action processes, and SPC fundamentals.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a standard office environment.
  • May require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on monitors and detailed data.
  • Frequent repetitive manual movements (data entry, mouse use, calculator) are common.

Typical Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Entry-level: zero to two years of relevant experience.
  • Educational requirements may vary by geography.
