What You’ll Do

confidential client is hiring a Regional Traveler Associate Neurophysiologist to support intraoperative neuromonitoring (IOM) services across the Mid-Atlantic territory. This entry-level friendly role provides full paid training and hands-on experience with IOM systems in operating rooms.

  • Provide intraoperative neuromonitoring (IOM) support by obtaining patient history, choosing appropriate monitoring modalities, and communicating findings to the surgical team.
  • Display, label, measure and document waveforms (latencies, amplitudes, conduction times) per established protocols.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and protocols to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Maintain and perform routine checks on neuromonitoring equipment and prepare timely, accurate case documentation and uploads.
  • Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to deliver clear, professional monitoring and reporting throughout procedures.
  • Travel regionally for weekly assignments; follow all company safety, compliance and documentation policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; reasonable accommodations available for qualified applicants with disabilities.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable private transportation are required.
  • Operating Room (OR) experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment up to approximately 50 lbs (IONM system, laptop, supplies).
  • Strong time-management, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to frequent schedule changes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to collaborate in a team-oriented clinical environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight multiple days per week across the assigned region.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges and be eligible for medical malpractice coverage (coverage provided by the company).
  • Meet applicable vaccination or physical requirements as required by hospital partners (including COVID-19 vaccination where applicable).

Travel & Physical Demands

  • Regular overnight travel for multi-day assignments is expected.
  • Frequent standing, bending, manual dexterity, and use of personal protective equipment (gloves, masks, gowns, goggles) for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely transport and set up monitoring equipment repeatedly throughout a shift.
