What You’ll Do
- Provide intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IOM/IONM) in the operating room to support patient safety and surgical outcomes.
- Obtain a focused medical history and consult with the surgical team about structures at risk and modalities to monitor.
- Set up, test, label and display waveforms; mark and measure latencies, amplitudes and conduction times per established protocols.
- Communicate monitoring findings, alerts and recommendations to the surgeon and OR staff throughout procedures.
- Select appropriate monitoring protocols and perform troubleshooting to ensure accurate, reliable data collection.
- Complete and upload required documentation, IOM logs and case files in a timely, accurate manner.
- Maintain, transport and perform routine checks on neuromonitoring equipment and supplies.
- Follow all company policies, codes of conduct and compliance training requirements.
- Participate in continuous training and support client technology and clinical innovations.

Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; OR an advanced degree without experience; OR equivalent work experience.
- Certified in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) — CNIM must be maintained while in role.
- Clinical knowledge of IONM modalities, human anatomy & physiology, and technical troubleshooting preferred.
- Previous Operating Room (OR) experience preferred.
- Strong time-management, organization and the ability to manage competing demands and schedule changes.
- Effective verbal communication skills and proven ability to collaborate with surgeons and multi-disciplinary teams in English.
- Able to travel regularly as needed (see Travel & Physical Demands).
- Able to obtain and maintain required hospital privileges and meet applicable vaccination or credentialing requirements as required by each facility.
- Eligible for medical malpractice insurance coverage at standard rates (insurance provided by the company).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Travel & Physical Demands
- Field-based position; able to travel up to 25% (driving between hospitals and surgery centers).
- Able to transport and set up equipment weighing up to ~50 lbs (IONM system, laptop, supplies).
- Ability to stand for extended periods, use manual dexterity, and wear PPE (gloves, masks, gowns, goggles) as required.
- May require bending, lifting, visual/auditory acuity and other physical activities consistent with OR duties.
Compensation & Schedule
- Estimated base: $81,027 per year (estimated figure from source). Actual compensation and employment type will be confirmed by the Confidential Client during interview/offer.
- Field-based schedule; hours vary by case assignments. Entry-level and experienced candidates considered.
