Role Summary
Confidential Client is hiring an Associate Mixed Signal Design Engineer to work on mixed-signal integrated circuit (IC) design and validation. This is an early-career/full-time opportunity based in Wilmington, MA with telecommute flexibility. You will contribute to circuit design, simulation, characterization, and silicon validation while collaborating across analog, digital, layout, test, and applications teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and analyze mixed-signal circuit blocks and subsystems
- Perform circuit simulation, modeling, and performance analysis to meet design objectives
- Create schematics and participate in circuit verification, characterization, and silicon validation
- Support integration of analog and digital blocks into system-level solutions
- Develop and execute test and characterization plans to evaluate circuit performance
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement improvements for performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Produce and maintain technical documentation including design specs, test data, and development reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle
Required (Must-Have) Skills
- Understanding of analog and digital circuit design fundamentals
- Knowledge of semiconductor devices, CMOS technologies, and IC design concepts
- Familiarity with circuit simulation, analysis, and verification methodologies
- Exposure to industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, SPICE)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering teams
Preferred Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (coursework, internships, research, or professional)
- Familiarity with MATLAB or similar analysis tools
- Knowledge of data converters, clocking, power management, sensor interfaces, or other mixed-signal architectures
- Hands-on laboratory experience with characterization, testing, and silicon validation
- Understanding of signal integrity, noise analysis, timing, or power optimization concepts

- Primary location: Wilmington, MA (telecommute / remote-friendly)
- Employment type: Full-time / Permanent
- Required travel: Up to 10% (meetings, lab/silicon validation, or customer support)
