Role overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Associate Member Services Representative (entry-level Member Services Representative / MSR) in Travelers Rest, SC. This role provides foundational branch operations experience in a credit union / financial-services environment. You will deliver excellent member service across in‑person, phone, and digital channels while learning core branch tasks such as transaction processing, cash handling, basic account origination, and internal referral processes.
What You’ll Do
- Attend new-employee training and complete required core and additional modules to learn branch systems and procedures.
- Serve members courteously and professionally across channels: in-person, drive-through, phone, and digital.
- Process member transactions and balance a cash drawer to Performance Measurement Criteria standards.
- Follow Confidential Client policies and comply with regulatory requirements; safeguard member information and access accounts only for legitimate business reasons.
- Adhere to check-acceptance and hold procedures; evaluate mobile and ATM deposits.
- Balance vaults, ATMs, teller cash dispensers, and coin sorters; assist with cash deliveries and shipments.
- Process domestic and foreign wire transfers; assist with ordering/returning foreign currency.
- Troubleshoot member account issues, card problems, and online access; process disputes as needed.
- Organize, file, and scan documents; maintain daily/monthly records for reports (e.g., return items, forgeries).
- Begin learning to open basic accounts (share, money market, checking, term certificates) under supervision.
- Start building product knowledge (e.g., insurance, retirement, investments, trust, mortgage) and make appropriate referrals.
- Participate in ongoing training and complete the Credit Union’s Core Module Program within 12 months of hire.
- Complete other administrative tasks and responsibilities as assigned; maintain regular attendance and punctuality.

Minimum requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, CCUE certification, or Associate degree via applicable transfer programs.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and a customer-focused attitude.
- Good problem-solving ability and aptitude for building member trust and confidence.
- Ability to complete required core training within specified timeframes.
- Able to lift 10–15 pounds and perform routine office duties (sitting, keyboard and telephone use).

Job environment & physical demands
