What You’ll Do
This is an entry-level Member Services role (Associate Member Services Representative) supporting branch operations for our confidential client. You will provide exceptional, accurate service to members across in-person, phone, and digital channels while learning cash-handling and basic account services.
- Process member transactions and balance a cash drawer according to performance standards
- Greet members and respond to member inquiries courteously and professionally (in-person, phone, digital)
- Learn to open and maintain basic deposit accounts (share, money market, checking, Share Term Certificates) under supervision
- Evaluate mobile and ATM check deposits; adhere to check acceptance and hold procedures
- Balance and help manage vaults, ATMs, teller cash dispensers, and coin sorters
- Process foreign and domestic wire transfers, and assist with foreign currency ordering/returns
- Troubleshoot member account, card, and online access issues (including disputes)
- Maintain daily and monthly records (return items, forgeries); file and scan documents
- Support cash delivery and shipment verification and preparation
- Cross-refer members to financial advisory and real estate services as appropriate
- Participate in required training (e.g., Credit Union Core Module Program) and complete assigned administrative tasks
Compensation (Estimated)
- Estimated pay: $39,068 per year (estimated)
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, CCUE Certification, or Associate degree via NC-CTP
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated customer-service orientation and aptitude for building member trust
- Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to complete required core training within 12 months of hire
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Office/branch environment with regular interaction with members and coworkers
- Some telephone and background noise from office equipment
- Substantial sitting; frequent use of keyboard and telephone
- Ability to lift 10–15 pounds and perform routine physical tasks associated with branch operations
