What You’ll Do

This entry-level Associate Member Services Representative role supports branch operations and delivers excellent member service across in-person, phone, and digital channels on behalf of our confidential client.

  • Serve members by processing routine branch transactions and balancing a cash drawer to established standards.
  • Greet and assist members courteously and professionally; answer phones and process service requests.
  • Perform cash handling tasks: balance vault, ATMs, teller cash dispenser, coin sorter; verify cash deliveries/shipments.
  • Process account maintenance and origination under supervision (share, checking, money market, Share Term Certificates).
  • Evaluate mobile and ATM check deposits; process foreign and domestic wires; assist with foreign currency orders and returns.
  • Troubleshoot member account issues (cards, online access, disputes) and review negative checking/NSF/share-below reports.
  • Organize, file, and scan branch documents; maintain daily/monthly records (return items, suspected forgeries).
  • Operate drive-through window and assist other departments to fulfill member requests.
  • Learn internal systems (e.g., CXone) and begin building knowledge of Financial Advisory and Real Estate products to provide referrals.
  • Participate in required training (Credit Union core modules) and complete additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, CCUE Certification, or Associate degree via NC-CTP.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and an aptitude for building member trust and confidence.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to complete required training programs within the specified timeframe.

Job Type & Compensation

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Estimated pay: $39,568 per year (estimated). Exact compensation and benefits will be determined by the confidential client.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Office/branch environment with regular interaction with members and teammates; normal background noise from phones, printers, and coin machines.
  • Substantial sitting; frequent keyboard and telephone use.
  • Ability to comprehend and carry out spoken instructions; lift up to 10–15 pounds as needed.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
