What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Associate Member Service Representative to deliver exceptional member service in a branch environment. This role provides foundational training in branch operations and includes routine teller and member-service duties.
- Comply with Credit Union policies, regulatory requirements, and security controls.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of member information.
- Serve members in-person, by phone, and via digital channels — provide courteous, timely support.
- Process routine transactions and balance a cash drawer to Performance Measurement Criteria.
- Follow check-acceptance and hold procedures.
- Operate drive-through window as needed.
- Balance vaults, ATMs, teller cash dispensers, and coin sorters.
- Evaluate daily mobile and ATM check deposits.
- Verify and prepare cash shipments and deliveries.
- Process foreign and domestic wire transfers; assist with foreign currency ordering/returns.
- Troubleshoot member account problems, card issues, and online-access disputes.
- Review reports such as negative checking, NSFB, and Share Below $25; take appropriate actions.
- Begin learning account opening procedures for basic accounts (shares, checking, money market, Share Term Certificates) under supervision.
- Organize, file, and scan documents daily; maintain daily/monthly records (return items, forgeries).
- Start building basic knowledge of Financial Advisory and Real Estate products to identify referral opportunities.
- Learn CXone and assist MSS as requested.
- Participate in required training, maintain regular attendance, and complete additional administrative tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, CCUE Certification, or Associate degree via NC-CTP.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-service mindset with ability to build member trust and confidence.
- Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must complete the Credit Union Core Module Program within 12 months of hire.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Office/branch setting with routine interaction with members and teammates; moderate background noise possible.
- Substantial sitting; frequent computer and phone use.
- Ability to lift 10–15 pounds intermittently.
- Must be able to comprehend and respond to phone calls and in-person member requests.
Compensation
- Estimated salary: $36,832 per year (as listed). Actual pay may vary based on experience and internal salary bands.
- Confidential Client may adjust level or compensation based on business needs.
