Purpose

The Associate Member Service Representative (entry-level) supports branch operations for our confidential client in Accounting & Finance. This role provides front-line member service via in-person, phone, and digital channels while learning core branch functions such as cash handling, account maintenance, and basic account openings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous, accurate member service across all channels (in-branch, drive-through, phone, digital).
  • Process routine transactions and balance a cash drawer daily.
  • Follow security, control, and privacy procedures for member information.
  • Evaluate mobile and ATM check deposits and handle cash shipments and vault balances.
  • Assist with account origination and basic maintenance under supervision.
  • Process foreign and domestic wire transfers; help order/return foreign currency.
  • Troubleshoot member account issues, card problems, and online access; process disputes as needed.
  • Organize, file, and scan documentation and maintain daily/monthly records (e.g., return items, forgeries).
  • Learn and use branch systems and tools (including CXone) and refer members to additional products or specialists when appropriate.
  • Participate in required training and complete the Credit Union Core Module Program within the first 12 months.
  • Perform other administrative tasks and reasonable duties assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, CCUE Certification, or associate degree via NC community college transfer programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive customer-service orientation with the ability to build member confidence and trust.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete required training programs within specified timelines.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Typical office/branch setting with regular contact with members and coworkers; moderate background noise from office equipment.
  • Substantial time sitting, using a computer and phone; ability to lift 10–15 pounds.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are required.

Compensation (estimated)

  • Estimated pay: $38,497 per year (estimated).

Training & Development

  • This is an entry-level role designed to build foundational branch knowledge. You will receive training on branch procedures, systems, and product referrals, and you’ll be supported to gain broader knowledge of financial advisory and real estate products for referral purposes.
