Position Overview
This entry-level rotational Mechanical Engineering role is for candidates finishing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering (graduating Dec 2026 or May 2027). You will join a rotational engineering program to gain broad, hands-on experience across product design, sustaining engineering, manufacturing support, supplier quality, and customer/field troubleshooting before transitioning to a permanent team. You will be employed by a Confidential Client and work primarily in Hanover, NH with planned rotations that may include other company sites.

- Compensation range (base): $66,207.00 - $110,347.00 per year (pay will vary based on experience, skills, and education)
What You’ll Do
- Become a subject-matter expert on mechanical subsystems used in plasma and waterjet cutting systems, CNC equipment, and torch height controllers (THCs)
- Support and maintain released products, implement sustaining design changes, and manage component alternates for obsolescence/availability
- Execute design changes and lead verification/validation testing for cost-savings and product-improvement initiatives
- Analyze technical documentation and test data against functional and performance specifications
- Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, PCB designers, technicians, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Communicate effectively to maintain project timelines and document engineering decisions
- Develop and improve engineering best-practice procedures to deliver high-quality products efficiently
- Work in lab environments alongside technicians to apply engineering principles to real-world problems
Required Qualifications
- Final year student completing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering (graduating in Dec 2026 or May 2027)
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to designs, perform tests, and analyze routine engineering problems under senior guidance
- Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and product design principles
- Basic lab testing and evaluation skills
- Ability to follow project plans and work well across teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Experience
- Internship experience in mechanical design for technical industrial products
- Strong CAD skills (preferably SolidWorks)
- Embedded systems experience (microcontrollers, serial interfaces, analog/digital circuitry)
- Knowledge of reliability and regulatory design practices (UL/UL508, CSA, ICE, NFPA)
- Experience with engineering instrumentation (flow and thermal measurements, oscilloscopes, DAQ)
- Project management experience or certification
- Experience working in Lean manufacturing environments
