What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking Mechanical Engineers to join its Mission Systems group in Annapolis, MD supporting Marine Systems programs (launcher systems, propulsion, and onboard power generation for naval submarines and surface ships). This role offers exposure to full product lifecycle work — design, analysis, testing, and production support — within a security-cleared environment.

  • Support mechanical design and machine/component development for naval systems
  • Create and revise CAD models and detailed drawings (SolidWorks, NX, or similar)
  • Perform basic design analyses and collaborate with engineering analysts as needed
  • Support lab testing, assembly integration and troubleshooting activities
  • Produce engineering documentation, technical reports and design reviews
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including systems, manufacturing, and test engineering
  • Follow configuration management, quality, and program security procedures

Who We’re Looking For

Basic Qualifications — Associate Mechanical Engineer (entry level)

  • Completing or completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Major in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM discipline
  • Able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required)
  • Able to obtain Special Access Program access as needed

Basic Qualifications — Mechanical Engineer (early-career / graduate level)

  • Completing or completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Major in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM discipline
  • Able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required)
  • Able to obtain Special Access Program access as needed

Additional role requirements

  • Willingness to travel (~10%) when required
  • Ability to work on-site in Annapolis, MD (relocation assistance may be available)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (SolidWorks, NX, etc.)
  • Coursework or hands-on experience in Machine Design
  • Internship or co-op experience in mechanical design, prototyping, or testing
  • Strong written/verbal communication and teamwork skills

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation ranges (posted by our client; actual offers vary based on experience and role):

  • Associate Mechanical Engineer: $66,200 to $99,200 per year
  • Mechanical Engineer: $79,600 to $119,400 per year
