What You’ll Do
This Confidential Client is hiring an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to support capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects from concept through production release. This is a hands-on, hybrid role that combines office work with time on the manufacturing floor and close collaboration across functions.
- Support Project Managers and engineering teams to coordinate project activities, track actions, and maintain project documentation.
- Assist with equipment installations, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and validation activities.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with internal teams and external equipment suppliers.
- Help ensure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and operational objectives.
- Learn the project lifecycle and progressively take ownership of project tasks.
Key Qualifications — MUST HAVES
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and eagerness to learn project management and manufacturing processes.
- Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply (0–2 years experience; internships and co-ops count).
Nice to Have
- Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project-based work.
- Exposure to automation, robotics, or medical device manufacturing (highly preferred).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, or other project tracking tools.
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or related certifications are a plus but not required.
Location & Schedule
- Job location: Mahwah, NJ (on-site requirement).
- Hybrid role with 4 days on-site mandatory.
- This is a full-time, contract engagement (12+ month contract).
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $40.00 USD hourly – $47.00 USD hourly.
