What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring for entry-level to early-career roles across Java development and data paths. This role is ideal for recent grads, career switchers, or candidates re-entering the U.S. job market who want hands-on project experience and placement support.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Java-based applications and services (backend or full-stack depending on placement).
- Work on data-focused projects: writing SQL, preparing datasets, creating dashboards and notebooks.
- Implement tested code and small-scale machine learning or analytics pipelines where applicable.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver features and data insights.
- Complete client-style project deliverables (notebooks, dashboards, pipeline docs, metric definitions) for interview portfolios.
- Prepare for behavioral and technical interviews with coaching and feedback.
Who We’re Looking For
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or related field — recent grads welcome.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (Java preferred; Python acceptable for data roles).
- Basic SQL knowledge and exposure to BI tools or notebook environments.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to practice communication of impact metrics.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. (onsite or local requirements determined by placement).
Preferred skills:
- Java (core, and optionally Spring or related frameworks).
- Full-stack fundamentals (HTML/CSS/JS) for candidates targeting frontend/back-end roles.
- Python, Pandas, NumPy for data positions.
- SQL and relational databases.
- Experience or coursework in data visualization / BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Basic familiarity with machine learning concepts for Data Scientist / ML Engineer tracks.
