What You’ll Do

This is an entry-level desktop support role within a larger IT team. You will deliver timely, hands-on support for end-user devices and contribute to deployments and projects that keep operations running smoothly.

  • Respond to desktop and end-user incidents and service requests.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for workstations, laptops, tablets, scanners and point-of-sale devices.
  • Assist with device installations, configurations, deployments, replacements and cable management.
  • Perform break/fix support and help collect retired equipment for proper disposal.
  • Support projects and deployments as assigned.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to after-hours critical issues.
  • Travel between client locations as needed to provide onsite support.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to desktop and end-user incidents or service requests in a timely, customer-focused manner.
  • Participate in workstation and end-user computing device installation and configuration activities.
  • Diagnose and resolve workstation and device performance issues.
  • Partner with Desktop Support Analysts to maintain end-user computing devices (workstations, badges, iPads, scanners, POS devices, etc.).
  • Support device deployments, hardware lifecycle activities and equipment inventory management.
  • Be available for rotational 24x7 on-call duty as scheduled.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license and a safe driving record.
  • Daily access to a reliable, insured vehicle for travel between client locations as needed.
  • Ability to lift/move equipment up to 20 pounds.
  • Foundational troubleshooting and critical thinking skills for desktop support.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adjust schedule for deployments, projects or operational needs.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in an IT desktop support or helpdesk role.
  • CompTIA A+ certification.

Hours & Location

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday core business hours; assigned shift between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • Onsite role based at the Bloomington Corporate Office; regular onsite presence five days per week is required to support operational needs and team collaboration.
  • Occasional evening/weekend work may be required for projects and deployments.
  • Participation in a rotating on-call support schedule (typically one-week rotations every 2–3 months).

Compensation

  • $24.04 - $36.06 per hour.
  • Pay is based on role level, experience, education, skills, location and internal equity. Candidates may be eligible for additional compensation elements (e.g., shift differential, bonuses) where applicable.
