About the role

Confidential Client is seeking an Associate Industrial Engineer for an entry-level, full-time role based in Santa Ynez, CA. You will help set up and optimize production areas, analyze production data, and support continuous improvement projects that increase safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in set-up, scale-up, and optimization of production areas by determining the most efficient sequence of operations, workflow, and work cell layout
• Generate Value Stream Maps (VSM) and analyze production data to implement metrics that measure safety, quality, delivery, employee, and cost performance
• Contribute to staffing, facilities, equipment, and tooling resource plans to support production needs
• Help standardize processes and participate in cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvements (production output, inventory control, quality assurance, cost reduction)
• Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to communicate status, gather input, and align with production priorities

Minimum Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the following:

• Completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD from an accredited institution
• Major in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field
• U.S. citizenship required and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance
• Ability to obtain Special Access Program eligibility within a reasonable period, as determined by the employer

Preferred Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
• Knowledge or coursework/project experience with Lean methods (VSM, kanban, 5S) in a manufacturing environment (internship, co-op, project, or work experience)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel required; Project and Visio are a plus)
• Strong data analysis skills and evidence-based decision making
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and effective written/verbal communication
• Enthusiastic, proactive mindset and a desire to learn and grow in an engineering environment
• Experience working on teams and in cross-functional settings

Compensation

• Salary range: $69,400 to $104,000 per year (salary range provided by Confidential Client). Final pay will depend on experience, education, and other lawful factors.

Location & Clearance

• This role is located in Santa Ynez, CA.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance are required.
