About the Opportunity
Confidential Client is hiring an Associate for Global Operations Support in Chicago, IL. This entry-level role rotates across core operations functions — reconciliations, deliveries, trade platform support, customer service, billing, and other operations teams — to develop a broad foundation in financial services operations.
What You’ll Do
- Participate in assigned rotations that may include Reconciliations, Deliveries, Trade Platform Support, Customer Service, and other Operations teams.
- Assist supervisors with administrative tasks and special projects to support team operations.
- Document and help maintain operational policies and procedures.
- Process fees and assist with billing as needed.
- Provide accurate, timely responses to inquiries from customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Treasury, Front Office, and other departments on cross-functional projects.
- Complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision; prioritize work and propose solutions to problems.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to optimize operational processes.
- Adhere to internal policies and help maintain a professional work environment.
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting preferred — or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 months to 1 year of relevant experience or training (work or internship) is typical.
- Flexibility to work early mornings or late evenings as necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities.
- Intermediate computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access.
- Intermediate Excel skills or willingness to learn (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF functions, etc.).
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.
Compensation & Employment Details
Confidential Client — Accounting & Finance
- Location: Chicago, IL (onsite)
- Employment type: Contract / Full-Time
- Hiring salary range: $60,000 - $65,000 per year (salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity and market data). May be eligible for incentive compensation and benefits subject to business performance and management recommendations.
