Position overview

This entry-level Associate Financial Analyst role supports program finance activity for a confidential client within the Accounting & Finance industry. The position is based in Chandler, AZ and reports to the Program Finance team supporting space/launch programs. This is a full-time role with an expected mix of hands-on financial analysis, earned value management, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration.


What You’ll Do

  • Actively support program Earned Value Management (EVM) processes and prepare earned value deliverables in compliance with IPMR/IPMDAR reporting requirements.
  • Support baseline development and Initial Baseline Reviews (IBRs) with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and update Estimates at Completion (EACs) using earned value analysis and revision workflows.
  • Produce financial reports, variance analysis, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with internal and external compliance audits and documentation requests.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Program Management to reconcile financial and schedule data.
  • Maintain strict adherence to internal controls, quality standards, and company ethics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program finance objectives.

Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • 0–2 years of related experience (entry-level).
  • U.S. citizenship is required and candidate must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance (a plus).
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in team environments.
  • Prior experience or coursework related to aerospace, defense, or program finance is advantageous.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $54,400 — $81,600 per year (range provided by the confidential client).
  • Eligible employees may also participate in discretionary bonuses and benefit programs, including health insurance, life and disability coverage, retirement savings, paid holidays, and paid time off. Specific benefits and eligibility are determined by the confidential client and position level.

Location & Travel

  • Location: Chandler, AZ (on-site at client facilities).
  • Travel: Approximately 10% travel may be required for customer reviews, baseline meetings, or audits.
