Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Associate Financial Administrator to support fund accounting and financial reporting for mutual funds, ETFs, and other investment products. This role contributes to regulatory reporting, fee calculations, expense budgeting, performance monitoring, and board reporting. This opening is in Hauppauge, NY and is full-time.


What You’ll Do

  • Prepare quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reports for assigned funds in compliance with SEC, IRS, and GAAP requirements.
  • Maintain expense budgets and accruals based on contractual fee schedules and fiscal projections.
  • Process expense payment authorizations for fund expenses.
  • Calculate monthly management fees and advisor waivers/reimbursements; distribute fee authorizations to appropriate parties.
  • Use fund performance tracking systems to monitor performance and distribute information to clients as required.
  • Compile quarterly reports for Board members and support audit and compliance requests.
  • Complete off‑schedule projects and ad‑hoc reporting as needed.
  • Communicate frequently with internal and external partners, and collaborate daily with the Financial Administration team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in accounting or finance (internships and relevant coursework considered).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel required) and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat.

Preferred / Technical Knowledge

  • Familiarity with financial services and mutual fund administration.
  • Working knowledge of SEC reporting forms N-PORT, N-CEN, N-CSR and 24f-2.
  • Understanding of stocks, bonds, options, foreign securities and derivatives is a plus.
  • Experience with fund performance/tracking systems or fund accounting software preferred.

  • Estimated base salary: $74,420 per year (estimated)
