What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Associate Field Service Representative to support field and garrison activities at Fort Hood, TX. This entry‑level, customer‑facing technical role focuses on pre‑ and post‑sales support, product demonstrations, integration assistance, and training under close supervision.
- Assist in field training and service support at customer sites (CONUS and OCONUS, excluding danger zones) under direct supervision
- Conduct product demonstrations and operator/maintenance training as an assistant instructor
- Engage with customers to document expectations and coordinate with internal teams to meet requirements
- Support hardware, software, and network integration and provide guidance on installation, handling, and utilization of systems
- Use basic test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum/network analyzer, signal generator) to diagnose routine electrical/electronic issues
- Develop after‑action reports and technical documentation to improve customer outcomes
- Provide on‑site consultation and integration support for existing systems and new initiatives within area of responsibility
- Advise on technical requirements for products, support equipment, and electronic equipment installations
- Be prepared for occasional last‑minute travel and deployments to austere environments
What You’ll Bring
- Associate’s degree, vocational certification, or military experience in an engineering‑related field with 2+ years’ experience; or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering‑related field with 0+ years’ experience (equivalent combinations considered)
- Familiarity with radar, RF, communications, or navigation systems is a plus
- Basic understanding of hardware, software, and TCP/IP networking principles
- Ability to read electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, test/assembly instructions, and engineering documentation
- Proficiency with common test equipment to perform basic diagnostics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset
- Self‑motivated, with good time management and ability to follow direction under close supervision
- Able to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs., climb towers (tower climbing certification required or obtainable), tolerate long flights and extended workdays
- Willingness to travel up to 75% (domestic and international), including extended assignments in challenging field environments
- Ability to pass a pre‑deployment physical
- Applicants must be eligible for and successfully obtain access to classified information up to the Secret level (subject to government security investigation)
Preferred / Ways to Stand Out
- Prior military experience is preferred but not required
- Hands‑on experience with radar/RF equipment, test instruments, or field integration activities
