What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an Associate Field Service Representative to provide hands-on technical and training support to customer units in the Fort Bragg area and on deployed assignments. This role is ideal for early-career engineers or technically skilled service personnel who want field experience with radar, RF, and sensor systems under close supervision.
- Assist in field training and service support at customer locations (garrison and deployed) under close supervision
- Deliver product demonstrations, operator/maintenance training, and post-sales technical assistance
- Integrate with assigned units to provide hardware, software, and network configuration support
- Troubleshoot basic electrical/electronic issues using test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum/network analyzer, signal generator)
- Document customer requirements and communicate them to internal engineering, quality, and configuration-management teams
- Write after-action and field service reports to support continuous improvement
- Support last-minute and expeditionary operational needs in austere environments when required
- Support procedural and policy updates across your area of responsibility
What You’ll Bring
- Associate’s degree, vocational certification, or military experience in an engineering-relevant field plus 2+ years’ related work experience — OR Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field with 0+ years’ experience (equivalent combinations of education/training/experience considered)
- Basic understanding of hardware, software, and network integration principles (TCP/IP familiarity a plus)
- Hands-on familiarity with test instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum/network analyzer, signal generator)
- Ability to read electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, and engineering documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Self-motivated with time-management skills to complete routine assignments under supervision
- Willingness to learn and serve as an assistant instructor for operator and maintenance training
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs, climb towers (tower-climbing certification may be required), tolerate long flights and extended workdays with or without reasonable accommodations
- Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally, including potential extended deployments to austere locations
- Must be eligible for and able to obtain a U.S. government Secret-level security clearance (applicants will undergo a government security investigation)
- Must be able to pass required pre-deployment physicals
