What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is seeking an Associate Engineer focused on Program/Project Management to support engineering programs in sustain and new-development phases. This is an entry-level opportunity where you'll coordinate PMO activities, support cross-functional teams, and help drive program delivery to meet cost, quality and schedule objectives.
- Coordinate PMO activities around quoting schedules and design costs for customer RFQs.
- Support CX-Sustaining teams to coordinate internal change requests for products in mass production.
- Assist PMO staff to streamline and automate weekly/monthly reporting.
- Help manage one or more low-complexity projects: kickoffs, schedules, meeting cadence and status communication.
- Drive creation, review and maintenance of Program Plans and WBS; assist with resource planning.
- Monitor daily program activities and report status to functional management; may include customer interaction.
- Manage program documentation (phase-exit presentations, checklists) and support lifecycle change implementation.
- Track and report program budget, forecast actuals vs. planned/quoted budget.
- Identify, escalate and manage program risks and issues; help implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate cross-project interdependencies and resource utilization.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Entry level to 1 year of relevant experience in engineering/program management.
- Familiarity with program planning, WBS creation, budgeting and basic financial acumen.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication; ability to present status to functional managers.
- Comfortable using PM tools, spreadsheets and reporting systems.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
Preferred / Desirable Skills
- PMP certification or working toward PMP is a plus.
- Experience with Agile program methodologies.
- Exposure to risk management, proposals/quotes and contract/ vendor interactions.
- Experience coordinating global/multi-site teams or cross-functional engineering teams.
- Knowledge of test strategy/automation, manufacturing test planning, or VAVE is helpful depending on assignment.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with extended periods of sitting and computer use.
- Repetitive manual movements (data entry, mouse use) are frequently required.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Compensation & Location
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Estimated salary: $128,255 per year (estimated).
- Work location: Buckingham, TX (on-site or as defined by the Confidential Client).
- The Confidential Client may use E-Verify where applicable.
