What You’ll Do
This entry-level Associate Engineer supports the design and execution of laboratory and corporate facility projects within Global Facilities. Working under guidance from senior engineers and project leads, you will help maintain engineering drawings and documentation, support electrical distribution design work, and contribute to laboratory renovation projects from design through execution.
- Create and update engineering documentation (one-line electrical drawings, lab equipment drawings, layouts, and related design documents).
- Review existing drawings and standards to identify necessary updates and keep facility records accurate.
- Support development of electrical distribution designs for lab and corporate facility projects under senior engineer direction.
- Participate in design meetings with internal clients, stakeholders, contractors, and vendors; incorporate feedback into design deliverables.
- Interpret design and facility-related issues, evaluate information, and recommend solutions within established engineering standards.
- Support compliance with applicable EHS policies, engineering standards, and other governance; assist in the revision of procedures and standards as directed.
- Plan and execute assigned portions of small engineering projects, track progress, and communicate status to management.
- Help coordinate project schedules, action items, and follow-up tasks to build project management capability.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, contractors, and vendors; communicate clearly in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
Who You Are
You are an early-career engineer or recent graduate who learns quickly, communicates well, and is eager to grow technical and project-management skills in a regulated laboratory/facilities environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a closely related discipline is desired (or equivalent technical experience with demonstrated competence).
- Must have degree completed prior to intended full-time start date.
- Typical experience: entry-level (less than two years).
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively across disciplines.
- Clear verbal and written communication; able to present technical information to varied audiences.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment and willing to absorb organizational processes and standards.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
