What You’ll Do
This entry-level engineering role supports automation and process initiatives for a confidential client operating in biologics. You will work on small engineering projects, help implement automation solutions, and support 24/7 operations when required.
- Support compliance with Quality, Environment/Health/Safety (EH&S) policies and engineering standards.
- Help define project scope with stakeholders; convert goals into actionable tasks and timelines.
- Plan and execute small engineering projects; document progress and report status to management.
- Coordinate prototype or experimental runs with technical support personnel.
- Assist in training personnel on operation of facilities, processes, and equipment.
- Investigate issues, collect and analyze data, prepare recommendations and action plans.
- Propose and review design changes to improve methods, processes, or cost efficiency.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, contractors, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Communicate technical information clearly in written reports, presentations, and meetings.
- Provide availability and support for a 24/7 biologics operation as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Engineering highly desired).
- Entry-level: typically less than two years’ experience.
- Prior automation exposure is highly desired (experience with process automation concepts is a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply engineering fundamentals to real-world tasks.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to learn company processes, policies, and methods quickly.
- Able to assess risk and propose appropriate mitigation measures.
- Flexibility to support shift coverage or off-hours support for biological operations when needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary (posted): $49,500 per year.

Location & Work Conditions
- Location: Urbanización Ortega, Puerto Rico.
- This is a full-time, on-site role with expectation to support a biologics operation that may require coverage outside standard business hours.
