Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an Associate Electronics / Antenna Test Engineer to join their Mission Systems team in Baltimore, MD. This is an entry-level, full-time position on 4th shift focused on RF and antenna test development and execution in a government contracting environment. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold (or be able to maintain) a DoD Secret clearance.
What You’ll Do
- Support antenna and RF test activities in an Antenna Test Engineering (ATE) group, including near-field and compact range testing.
- Operate and maintain RF and electrical test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters).
- Develop, run, and troubleshoot automated test sequences using software tools (e.g., MATLAB, C#, Visual Basic, MATE).
- Collect, analyze, and report measurement data; help maintain test documentation and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support sensor/antenna integration and verification.
- Contribute to test development, calibration, and continuous improvement efforts for test processes and fixtures.
- Work 4th shift schedule and support occasional travel (~10%).
Basic Qualifications (Required)
A candidate must meet ALL of the following:
- Completion of, or actively completing, a degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Current, active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance (or equivalent as noted).
- Experience using electrical and/or RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters).
- Professional software development experience with at least one language/tool such as C#, Visual Basic, MATLAB, or MATE.
- Ability and willingness to work 4th shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (for recent graduates).
- Software development experience specific to RF and antenna systems.
- Experience developing tests for near-field and/or compact antenna ranges.
- Prior RF test or antenna range experience.
- Familiarity with RF and antenna theory and measurement techniques.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (posted): $72,700 to $109,100 per year.

Location & Shift
- Location: Baltimore, MD (on-site).
- Shift: 4th shift. Some travel expected (~10%).
