Summary

Confidential Client is hiring for an Associate Electrical Engineer / Electrical Engineer to support spacecraft electrical power subsystems within their Space engineering team. The role focuses on power avionics, batteries, solar arrays, requirements management, analysis, test support and subcontractor oversight.


What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance of the space vehicle electrical power subsystem
  • Analyze and architect spacecraft power avionics, batteries, and solar arrays using standard engineering principles
  • Perform voltage drop, energy-balance, fuse-sizing, transient and equipment-degradation analyses
  • Generate, decompose and manage subsystem requirements
  • Prepare and present analysis and design material for design reviews and customer meetings
  • Provide subcontractor technical and project oversight to ensure delivery of electrical hardware and services
  • Support development, integration & test activities and mission operations (post-launch anomaly analysis)
  • Perform technical trades and earned-value reporting for assigned cost accounts

Who You Are — Required Qualifications

Associate Electrical Engineer level:

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or completing) in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance
  • Ability to obtain Special Access Program access within a reasonable period as required
  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience interacting with multiple disciplines
  • Ability to serve as a technical point of contact and work with stakeholders at multiple levels

Electrical Engineer (higher) level:

  • Master’s degree (completed or completing) in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance
  • Ability to obtain Special Access Program access within a reasonable period as required
  • Solid electrical engineering background and demonstrated technical communication skills
  • Ability to lead technical tasks and coordinate across engineering and program management

Preferred (both levels):

  • Cumulative GPA ≥ 3.00/4.0
  • Concentration or coursework in circuit design

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary ranges (posted by Confidential Client):
    • Associate Electrical Engineer: $65,800 – $98,800 per year
    • Electrical Engineer: $79,300 – $118,900 per year
  • Confidential Client considers education, experience and market factors when making offers
  • Benefits may include health insurance, life/disability coverage, savings plan, paid holidays and PTO, and eligibility for bonuses (varies by role)

Location & Travel

  • Location: Higley, AZ (on-site at Confidential Client’s Space engineering facility)
  • Travel: approximately 10% (subject to program needs)
  • U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility

  • This posting is for multiple experience levels; the role title covers Associate and Electrical Engineer levels — the final level and offer will depend on education and experience.
