What You’ll Do

This is a temporary (approx. 18-month) Associate Electrical Controls Engineer role supporting automation, PLC/HMI programming, and control-system integration for a Confidential Client. You will assist senior engineers and work across engineering, IT, and operations teams to deliver safe, testable automation solutions.

• Assist in developing and programming automation solutions using C, C#, C++, and Python
• Support PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Red Lion experience preferred)
• Help integrate control systems with manufacturing equipment and related software
• Assist in designing and developing HMI screens and operator interfaces
• Participate in testing, debugging, and validating automated systems
• Support documentation efforts (wiring diagrams, code comments, configuration control)
• Integrate machine data with MES/SCADA/IT systems for traceability and analytics
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and proof-of-concept activities to scale solutions

Core Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Foundational experience with programming languages such as C, C#, C++, or Python
• Basic understanding of PLC programming concepts (Allen-Bradley or Red Lion preferred)
• Exposure to HMI development and industrial communication protocols is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Work Environment & Safety

Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.

Compensation & Duration

• Pay range: $64,700 — $90,600 per year (actual offer will reflect experience, location, and qualifications)
• Position type: Temporary / Contract (expected ~18 months)
• Location: Bayou Metro, AR (on-site / site-based role)
