Job Summary

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Associate Design Engineer to support base powertrain component design, development, validation, and production launch. You will work on components such as crankshafts, casings, covers, cylinder heads, balancers, gears, and bearings, partnering closely with manufacturing, validation, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate requirements into robust designs.

What You’ll Do

• Support design and delivery of base powertrain components and assemblies from concept through production release under guidance from experienced engineers.
• Use CAD and product data management tools to develop and document designs.
• Perform basic engineering calculations, tolerance analyses, and component packaging.
• Assist with DFMEAs, Design Verification Plans & Reports (DVP&Rs), and test plans.
• Review and summarize test data; help drive issue resolution from development, supplier, or production feedback.
• Communicate status, risks, and recommended next steps to project teams and leadership.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes, documentation practices, and team standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field required.
• 0–3 years relevant experience (typical entry-level to early-career).
• Fundamental understanding of mechanical systems, powertrain operation, engineering drawings, and basic analytical methods.
• Basic familiarity with CAD (experience with Creo, Windchill, or similar preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States (this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship).

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar discipline.
• Interest or coursework in motorcycle, automotive, powersports, or mobility product development.
• Exposure to tolerance analysis, failure mode analysis, and validation/test methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, use data to solve problems, and follow structured development/test plans.

• Location: Saint Francis, WI (onsite at product development facility)
• Travel: Up to ~10% (as required)

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range (national average shown in source): $62,400 - $93,400 per year. Your actual pay may vary based on location and experience.
• Benefits package may include health insurance, 401(k), annual bonus programs, employee discounts, and other company-specific offerings.
• Domestic relocation assistance available (within posted country).
