What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an Associate Data Analyst to help turn business and operational data into actionable insights. This is an entry-level / early-career role focused on reporting, data validation, and dashboarding to support cross-functional decision-making.
- Collect, clean, validate, and combine data from multiple internal sources.
- Use SQL to extract and transform data for analysis and reporting.
- Build and maintain recurring and ad-hoc reports and dashboards (Power BI / Tableau).
- Perform data quality checks and investigate discrepancies.
- Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities within datasets.
- Translate business questions into analytical requirements and clear deliverables.
- Document data sources, ETL steps, and reporting methodologies.
- Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support improvements to analytical processes and reporting workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Math, or related) or relevant experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to data accuracy.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to present results to stakeholders.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Entry-level to 2 years of relevant experience (or internship/project experience).
Nice-to-Have / Preferred
- Experience with Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Exposure to data warehousing concepts or ETL tools.
- Familiarity with cloud analytics (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) or Google Sheets automation.
- Prior internship or work experience in business analytics, operations, or product analytics.
