What You’ll Do

Confidential Client’s Data & Analytics team seeks an entry-level Associate Data Analyst to turn raw data into actionable insights that support business decisions across the organization. This is a hands-on role that balances routine reporting, data validation, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver clear, reliable analytics.

  • Collect, organize, validate, and analyze data from multiple business systems to identify trends and produce forecasts.
  • Write, update, and maintain SQL queries, reports, and Power BI dashboards to track KPIs, quality, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Conduct routine audits of systems and databases to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
  • Validate and reconcile data from multiple sources; identify discrepancies and escalate or resolve as appropriate.
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests and perform analyses balancing turnaround time with accuracy.
  • Prepare and present clear visualizations and reports for non-technical stakeholders; document report logic and data definitions.
  • Support automation of recurring reporting tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Assist with Systems Service Requests (SSRs) and collaborate with senior analysts and management on analytical solutions.
  • Apply basic statistical methods (trend analysis, variance analysis, forecasting) to support decision-making.

This role is primarily based out of the City of Binghamton, NY home office and offers a hybrid schedule (onsite collaboration plus remote work during the week).


What We’re Looking For

  • 0–2 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a related field.
  • Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
  • Solid SQL skills — querying, joins, aggregations are required.
  • Intermediate Power BI experience is required.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills; ability to prioritize and meet timelines without sacrificing quality.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (per company job posting).

Nice-to-Have

  • Familiarity with basic statistical techniques applied to business metrics (forecasting, variance analysis).
  • Creative approach to data visualization and dashboard design.
  • Experience documenting data definitions and maintaining a data dictionary.

  • Location: City of Binghamton, NY (hybrid schedule).
