What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an Associate Cyber Software Engineer to join a mission-focused team supporting cyber and battle‑management systems at the Annapolis Junction / Jessup, MD location. As an Associate Cyber Software Engineer you will:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance software for processing‑intensive analytics, real‑time systems, and large data sets.
  • Write, review, and test code to meet documented requirements and quality standards.
  • Debug and resolve software defects; document fixes and test results.
  • Contribute to system design tradeoffs (hardware/software, COTS/GOTS reuse).
  • Integrate software into new or modified systems and operating environments.
  • Implement simple data queries for databases and repositories.
  • Work on Agile teams; collaborate across disciplines to deliver solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • MUST CURRENTLY HAVE ACTIVE TS/SCI with FULL SCOPE POLYGRAPH TO START. Polygraph must be through the state of Maryland. (U.S. citizenship is required.)
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD from an accredited college or university (STEM degree preferred).
  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial transcripts required at application).
  • Experience with one or more programming languages: C#, C/C++, Java, and/or Python.
  • Experience working on Agile software teams.
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • Strong collaboration, creative problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to analyze user requirements and translate them into software design and performance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience deriving software design and performance requirements from user needs.
  • Knowledge of CNO development concepts or related cyber operations development.
  • Prior work on mission systems, real‑time analytics, or large data applications.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range (published): $96,700 — $103,800 per year.
  • Market estimate shown on the source listing: approximately $124,876/year (estimate).
  • Benefits may include health insurance, life and disability coverage, retirement/savings plans, paid time off, company holidays, and eligibility for discretionary bonuses. Specific benefits depend on role and location.

  • Primary work location: Jessup / Annapolis Junction, MD (on‑site).
  • Must hold active TS/SCI with full scope polygraph (Maryland polygraph) prior to start.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
