Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Associate Counselor to join their clinical team in Statesboro, GA. This is a part-time, supervised clinical role ideal for recent graduates or early-career clinicians who are eligible for entry-level licensure/certification and eager to develop hands-on skills in addiction and behavioral health treatment.

What You’ll Do

The Associate Counselor provides supervised treatment and support to clients recovering from substance use and/or co-occurring mental health conditions. Working under clinical supervision, you will:

• Conduct client assessments to identify history, current presentation, treatment needs, and risk.
• Participate in treatment planning and progress reviews under supervision.
• Facilitate assigned group counseling, individual or family sessions using evidence-supported modalities.
• Provide client and family education about substance use and psychiatric conditions.
• Complete clear, timely clinical documentation (with required supervisor co-signatures).
• Provide crisis intervention and seek supervision/consultation when needed.
• Plan and document aftercare for assigned clients.
• Perform case management duties and act as liaison with insurance carriers as requested.

Who Should Apply / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services, mental health services, or a closely related field required.
• No prior professional work experience required — this role is appropriate for entry-level candidates.
• Must be eligible for entry-level licensure or certification in the state where you will practice and able to work under required supervised practice rules.
• Requires the ability to work under close clinical supervision (minimum weekly supervision as aligned with state standards).
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; ability to handle crisis situations professionally.

Licenses, Certifications & Training

• Eligible for entry-level licensure/certification under state regulations (as applicable).
• CPR and de-escalation certification required (training provided upon hire).

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated salary: $51,055 per year (estimated).
