What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Associate Consultant to join delivery teams working on Appian-based and related enterprise solutions. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and contributing to client-facing projects.
- Work as part of a cross-functional consulting team to design, develop, test, deploy, and support business applications.
- Learn and develop on the Appian platform using interfaces, process models, record types, business rules, data modeling, and integrations.
- Complete company-sponsored Appian training and pursue the Appian Certified Associate Developer certification.
- Investigate application issues and assist with troubleshooting and production support.
- Support integrations between applications, databases, APIs, web services, and identity systems.
- Gain exposure (as projects require) to automated testing, performance testing, cloud services, and data platforms.
- Contribute to client-facing activities and collaborate with teammates, technical leads, and stakeholders.
Qualifications / Requirements
- 0–2 years of professional experience; recent graduates and early-career technologists are encouraged to apply.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Programming experience demonstrated via coursework, personal projects, internships, or professional work.
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases or data modeling.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and concepts quickly.
- Interest in both the business problem and the technical solution.
- Contract requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Skills
- Internship, academic project, or professional experience in software development, consulting, engineering, or IT.
- Experience with Java (preferred), Python, C++, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Exposure to Appian or other low-code / workflow / process-automation platforms.
- Understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering concepts.
- Experience working with REST APIs or other web services.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices.
- Experience with process modeling tools (for example, Microsoft Visio).
- Awareness of UX or user-centered design concepts.
- Automated or manual software testing experience.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Data analysis or visualization experience.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Appian Certified Associate Developer certification (or in-progress).
