Role Overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an Associate — Commercial Banking (AVP) to join a front-office coverage team focused on Healthcare, Higher Education & Nonprofit clients. This is an entry-level associate role designed to provide a strong foundation in financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and client management within the nonprofit and related sectors.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a portfolio of ~40–50 client relationships in partnership with Analysts, Associates, VPs, and senior Credit Officers
• Contribute to transaction execution including financial analysis, complex financial modeling, risk assessment, and due diligence for credit extensions
• Support senior bankers on client-facing requests and coordinate with internal partners (Loan Structuring & Syndications, Treasury & Trade Services, operations) to deliver integrated solutions
• Assist with training and development of junior Analysts on the team
• Conduct company and industry research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit sectors
• Apply sound risk management and compliance practices; escalate and report control issues as required

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant associate-level experience in commercial banking or closely related roles
• Proven proficiency in financial modeling and financial data analysis
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
• Commitment to obtain Series 63 and 79 and pass the SIE within 150 days of hire
• Bachelor’s/University degree required

Compensation & Benefits

• Primary location full-time salary range: $130,000 – $145,000 per year
• In addition to base salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary or formulaic incentive and retention awards
• Typical benefits may include medical, dental & vision coverage; 401(k); life, accident & disability insurance; wellness programs; and paid time off (offerings may vary by jurisdiction and job level)
