Role Overview
This is an entry-level Associate Business Intelligence Analyst role supporting business decisions by producing data analysis, reports, and dashboards. You will work with leaders and senior staff to translate business questions into analytic requirements, collect and validate data from multiple sources, and deliver actionable visualizations and ad-hoc reporting. This is a hybrid role based in Pensacola, FL.
What You’ll Do
- Follow standard procedures to create and update reports and dashboards using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Collect, aggregate, clean, and validate data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Identify trends, patterns, and root causes to support operational improvements.
- Contribute to KPI reporting and maintain ongoing metrics that inform leadership.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into clear analytical requirements and success metrics.
- Develop, maintain, and manage BI solutions and self-service reporting capabilities.
- Use SQL for complex data manipulation, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Use analytics and forecasting to improve processes and support data-driven decisions.
- Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests and support team projects.
- Adhere to data governance standards and flag inconsistencies to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
- Technical skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience designing dashboards and self-service reporting (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
- Experience with data integration, cleaning, and validation.
- Familiarity with BI applications and/or cloud services.
- Ability to manipulate complex datasets across multiple tables.
- Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python.
Preferred
- Strong communication skills for presenting analysis and visualizations to non-technical and senior audiences.
- Effective research, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior exposure to ERP/CRM reporting capabilities is a plus.
