What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an Associate Behavioral Health Counselor (CTSS) to join the Children's Therapeutic Support Services (CTSS) team in Bemidji, MN. In this role you will provide therapeutic services across clinic, community, school, and residential settings to children and families. Typical responsibilities include:
- Assess patient needs and present-ing problems and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-informed individual, group, and family interventions
- Implement community-based supports to improve daily living, social, and self-regulation skills
- Provide crisis intervention, assessment, and timely referrals when appropriate
- Monitor and document progress, revising treatment plans as needed
- Consult and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and clinical supervisors
- Educate family/support systems about treatment goals and strategies
- Maintain professional development and stay current with emerging best practices in behavioral health
Who You Are / Qualifications
To be successful in this position you should have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in behavioral sciences or related field preferred; completion of a practicum or internship is strongly preferred
- Must follow Minnesota state statute(s) defining Mental Health Practitioners where applicable
- One of the following supervised experience pathways:
- At least 4,000 hours of supervised experience delivering services to persons with mental illness, substance use disorders, emotional disturbance, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities; OR
- At least 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) in behavioral sciences or related fields plus at least 2,000 hours of supervised work experience
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and case‑management skills
- Ability to work effectively with children, families, schools, and community partners
- Reliable transportation and ability to work in multiple community settings as required
- Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen upon offer
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay range: $23.00 - $36.00 per hour (as listed by the client)
- Estimated annual market figure shown on source: approximately $71,517 (estimate)
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week; 8-hour day shifts (typical)
